So, I can't resist posting about these doughnuts because right this minute, I happen to be reminiscing in my head about how good they are....and since I can't get my hands on anything remotely close here in Stockholm, I may as well share a photo with you and write about their deliciousness! These are from the Doughnut Plant in the Lower East Side in NY. They've been making these gourmet treats for years, and have inspired a trend in the "artisanal doughnut" lately, according to the NY Times. I used to go there pretty regularly when I lived in NY, so of course we had to have some while in town last week. These are doughnuts on a whole new level - made with only high quality ingredients and with exciting flavours like peanut butter and jelly, creme brulee, valrhona chocolate, pistachio, pomegranate.....okay okay, gotta stop now, I think I am actually drooling as I type.
